I am a published poet and an aspiring author. I currently have seven original poems published, as well as four creative articles. I have one poetry book review published, and would love to continue reviewing literature. I am always looking for new opportunities to practice writing and hone my creative skills.
Having been a Public and Professional Writing Minor, technical writing is also a passion of mine. My internship with Smith Publicity has allowed me to draft press releases and pitches for books such as Dragonwatch 3 by Brandon Mull. I also got a chance to write about the wildlife in the southern region of Iceland for a travel guide with Global Treks and Adventures.
Being an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Public and Professional Writing at Montclair State University gave me the chance to hone and polish all of my writing and communication skills. Through my coursework, I learned poetry and fiction writing, how to effectively write technical documents, and so much more.
I have been creating art ever since I could hold a pencil. I was originally accepted to Montclair State University's prestigious graphic design program before making the difficult decisions to change my major to English. In high school, I was a member of the musical's stage crew, and even served as the Stage Manager my senior year. I have also created many designs for both Smith Publictiy and Montclair State University's Office of International Engagement on Canva and other design programs.
I was born and raised in South Jersey, just 20 minutes from Center City Philadelphia. Throughout my childhood, I was always coming up with stories and exploring the forest surrounding my house. Just a short drive from the City of Brotherly Love, and being able to take day trips to New York City, the beach, or the Poconos encouraged me to explore. The accessibility of my location played a big role in harboring my interest in storytelling.
I am always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge of writing and the world around me. As a writer, words are my tool to explore the world and the way I understand it. Having traveled to over 15 different countries so far, with Semester at Sea, Global Treks and Adventures and independently, I have no shortage of experiences to write about.
There are so many worlds to see, and so many stories to tell! I hope to tell as many as I can.
